This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Confirm patient insurance eligibility and benefits for behavioral health services.
• Examine coverage specifics, benefits, copays, deductibles, and authorization criteria.
• Provide assistance with claim rejections and denials.
• Follow up on unresolved insurance and claims-related matters.
• Keep precise records of insurance and patient information.
• Organize and oversee patient appointments.
• Aid in patient intake and manage administrative documents.
• Address patient inquiries through phone, email, or other communication methods.
• Maintain a systematic patient scheduling process.
• Deliver professional support to patients while ensuring confidentiality.
• Draft succinct session summaries for documentation purposes.
• Input or format session summaries for the VA/provider to incorporate into the EHR.
• Guarantee that documentation is organized, precise, and timely.
• Adhere to documentation and privacy protocols.
• Reach out to local healthcare offices and practices to introduce the practice and set up lunch-and-learn events.
• Follow up with offices and keep outreach records updated.
• Coordinate calendars and schedules for meetings and events.
• Assist with fundamental marketing and administrative duties.
• Maintain calendars and organize appointments.
• Help with personal assistant and administrative tasks as assigned.
• Support daily organization and follow-up activities.
• Prior experience in healthcare administration, behavioral health, medical billing, insurance verification, or a related field.
• Experience in verifying insurance benefits and addressing claim issues is highly preferred.
• Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential patient data.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational capabilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Comfortable interacting with patients, healthcare offices, and insurance providers.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize independently.
• Experience with EHR/EMR systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with scribing or medical documentation.
• A reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup are required.
• Minimum internet speed of 50 Mbps for both upload and download.
• A verified backup internet solution is essential; mobile phone hotspots are not acceptable.
• A backup power source, such as a UPS or generator, is required.
• A quiet and professional workspace suitable for voice work is necessary.
• A noise-canceling headset is mandatory.
