
Behavioral Health Front Desk, Insurance Verification

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Respond to incoming patient calls swiftly and with professionalism
• Place outbound calls to patients as required
• Attend to patient concerns with patience, empathy, and professionalism
• Offer general information and direct inquiries to the appropriate team member
• Maintain a comforting and reassuring phone demeanor with anxious or distressed patients
• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments
• Coordinate appointments among various clinicians
• Confirm appointments and conduct follow-ups with patients
• Keep clinician schedules accurate and organized
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
• Collect and accurately record insurance information
• Identify and follow up on any missing or incorrect information
• Escalate insurance-related issues that require further review
• Monitor and address administrative requests throughout the shift
• Maintain precise patient and administrative records
• Perform data entry and routine administrative tasks
• Assist with front-desk and practice operations
• Adhere to established workflows, SOPs, and HIPAA regulations
• Participate in a brief morning meeting to review priorities and coordinate daily activities
• Complete additional administrative and back-office tasks generally after 5:00 PM
• Exceptional spoken English with clear enunciation and strong conversational abilities
• Friendly, professional, and confident telephone presence
• Strong listening and communication capabilities
• Genuine empathy and patience when engaging with patients
• Previous experience in a medical, healthcare, behavioral health, or similar patient-facing role is highly preferred
• Experience in appointment scheduling and/or insurance verification
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
• Comfortable working in a HIPAA-compliant setting
• Proficient in working through a Microsoft Virtual Desktop or similar remote desktop environment
• Reliable internet connection and professional remote work setup
• Ability to work independently while adhering to established processes
• Availability to work Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM client local time
• Capability to work 40 hours per week
