Batch Developer – C, Unix, Linux

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, test, debug, implement, and document software applications.

• Support modifications to company products and customer/internal systems to fulfill client and end-user requirements.

• Collect system information, evaluate program and time needs, and create documentation for program modifications.

• Investigate and assess existing systems and program specifications.

• Design applications for projects or upgrades to current programs.

• Draft specifications for programs of low to moderate complexity.

• Aid in troubleshooting production support issues and propose alternative solutions.

• Create test plans to validate program logic and identify potential issues.

• Generate program code and develop technical documentation.

• Perform quality assurance tasks, including peer reviews.

• Explore industry technical trends and new advancements to keep skills and knowledge up-to-date.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in Applications Development and Batch Programming utilizing Unix, Linux, C, and SQL (Oracle or other databases).

• Familiarity with Claims, Pharmacy point of sale, EDI, and/or NCPDP is highly preferred.

• Experience with the complete software development life cycle.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for designing, creating, and testing software applications.

• Capability to work effectively both independently and as a team leader.

• Involvement in production support tasks requiring 24/7 availability during on-call rotations.

• Willingness to adopt a flexible schedule to meet business demands and travel as necessary.

• Video cameras must be utilized during all interviews and throughout the initial week of orientation.
