Batch Application Programmer, C, UNIX/Linux

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, install, evaluate, and document application software, encompassing server, client, and web components.

• Design, document, and provide technical architecture solution elements.

• Facilitate communication between application architects and developers to ensure design specifications are precise and yield the expected client return on investment (ROI).

• Identify and establish project requirements, functional specifications, and detailed application solution designs for clients.

• Produce technical documentation and testing plans that support integration and deployment.

• Collaborate closely with software developers to further the objectives and goals for Gainwell and its clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in Software Design, Development, and Application Support.

• More than 3 years of practical experience with C Batch, Unix/Linux, and SQL.

• On-call support experience is preferred.

• Experience with Python is advantageous.

• Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Software Design Principles, Operating Systems, and Application Development Policies and Procedures.

• Experience in Web Services Development is preferred.

• Demonstrated programming and technical problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to design, develop, and support solutions across various programming languages and environments.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with clients, senior leaders, and cross-functional teams.

• Willingness to adapt to a flexible schedule to meet business needs and travel as necessary.

• Video cameras are required to be used during all interviews and the first week of orientation.
