This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
β’ Support the management of all bankruptcy-related issues for accounts within the company's portfolio.
β’ Examine and process bankruptcy notifications, filings, and court documents.
β’ Submit proofs of claim, objections, and other essential pleadings in bankruptcy cases.
β’ Track bankruptcy case statuses and deadlines to ensure prompt action.
β’ Engage with bankruptcy trustees, attorneys, and courts as required.
β’ Keep precise records in the company's case management system.
β’ Work in conjunction with internal collections, compliance, and legal teams to harmonize strategies.
β’ Ensure compliance with FDCPA, CFPB, and other regulatory standards.
β’ Assist with audits and reports concerning bankruptcy accounts.
β’ Report directly to the Director of Bankruptcy.
β’ Carry out additional responsibilities as needed.
β’ A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
β’ Previous experience in bankruptcy processing is preferred.
β’ Knowledge of Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcy procedures is preferred.
β’ Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry is essential.
β’ Ability to work efficiently while managing a high volume of repetitive tasks.
β’ Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, PDF tools, and web-based filing systems.
β’ Familiarity with bankruptcy claims or legal documentation is a plus.
β’ Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
β’ Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
β’ Successful completion of a background check, verification of employment eligibility, and any other required pre-employment screenings.
