Bank Reconciliation Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute the preliminary steps in the payment posting procedure.

• Formulate a strategy to finalize assigned worklists by the conclusion of each day.

• Generate monthly reconciliation reports for individual clients.

• Access bank portals to retrieve bank statements using month-to-date filtering and store them in specified client folders.

• Download Lockbox and Correspondence files.

• Rename and upload files in accordance with established naming conventions.

• Enter daily deposit totals for dashboard reporting purposes.

• Record previous day's deposits in monthly reconciliation logs.

• Update post logs for both current and previous month reconciliations.

• Investigate and upload any missing remits for posting.

• Examine and address posting discrepancies identified in bank statements.

• Monitor for remits that have not been posted within three days and collaborate with the posting team.

• Work with relevant teams to resolve variances in reconciliation logs.

• Supervise daily ERA checks and inform the supervisor if ERAs are not received.

• Provide insurance and check information for ERA setups when necessary.

• Review reported deposits against totals from bank statements.

• Distinguish between Ventra and non-Ventra payments.

• Accurately complete daily, weekly, and monthly tasks without the need for rework or cross-checking.

• Deliver services to providers nationwide.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.

• A minimum of one (1) year of experience in reconciling bank account deposits.

• Familiarity with payor portals is preferred.

• Capability to read, comprehend, and apply state and federal laws, regulations, and policies.

• Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of personalities in a considerate, mature, and professional manner.

• Willingness to remain adaptable and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Basic proficiency in using computers, telephones, the internet, copiers, fax machines, and scanners.

• Fundamental touch 10-key skills.

• Basic mathematical abilities.

• Understanding of and compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Excellent time management and organizational capabilities.

• Proficient knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel (including pivot tables), and database software.
