Backend Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Guide the team in executing multiple workstreams, ensuring high-quality results within each sprint.

• Manage the Sprint Planning process effectively.

• Serve as the primary liaison between the team and other departments to eliminate obstacles and facilitate cross-team collaboration.

• Enhance team velocity and individual skills through coaching, mentoring, and identifying areas for improvement.

• Oversee the technical design of scalable, reliable, and clean features for the team.

• Engage in large-scale, cloud-based development utilizing AWS and MongoDB.

• Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain quality standards.

• Collaborate with Product Managers to refine features from initial concept to production.

• Participate in technical discussions with customers.

• Lead domain-specific conversations and liaise with internal Customer Success team members.

• Direct discussions and technical decisions concerning enhancements and new feature planning.

• Incorporate AI tools and workflows into the daily development process, including AI-assisted coding, automated testing, and prompt-driven prototyping.

• Foster a culture centered on efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of hands-on development experience.

• A minimum of 3–5 years in a leadership capacity.

• In-depth expertise in Node.js (essential).

• Familiarity with AWS (essential).

• Experience with React is preferred.

• Python knowledge is an advantage.

• Early adopter of AI technologies with a passion for enhancing developer experience and system performance.

• Proven history of managing project execution and delivering comprehensive features in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong interpersonal abilities.

• Capability to lead a global team and convey complex technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
