Backend Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Armenia.

📋 Description

• Guide the team’s implementation across multiple workstreams while ensuring high-quality delivery during sprints.

• Take ownership of the Sprint Planning process.

• Collaborate with other departments to eliminate obstacles and facilitate cross-team dependencies.

• Enhance team velocity and individual skills through coaching, mentoring, and recognizing skill gaps.

• Oversee the technical design for scalable, dependable, and clean features developed by the team.

• Engage in high-scale, cloud-based development leveraging AWS and MongoDB.

• Perform thorough code reviews.

• Work alongside Product Managers from the initial feature concept to production.

• Participate in technical discussions with customers.

• Drive domain-specific conversations and liaise with internal Customer Success teammates.

• Facilitate discussions and make technical decisions for enhancements and planning of new features.

• Incorporate AI tools and workflows into the daily development cycle, including AI-assisted coding, automated testing, and prompt-driven prototyping.

• Promote efficiency, quality, and foster a culture where speed does not compromise stability.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of hands-on development experience.

• At least 3 to 5 years in a leadership capacity.

• Extensive expertise in Node.js (essential).

• Familiarity with AWS (essential).

• Experience with React is preferred.

• Knowledge of Python is an advantage.

• Early adoption and integration of AI technologies.

• Enthusiasm for leveraging AI to enhance developer experience and system efficiency.

• Demonstrated ability to manage project execution effectively.

• Proven capability to deliver complete features in a fast-paced setting.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Ability to lead a global team.

• Proficient in conveying complex technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
