This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Lead and implement the extraction of essential domains from the existing monolithic system.
• Reconstruct domains within a scalable, decoupled microservices architecture utilizing Python (Medmax).
• Design and maintain AWS solutions that prioritize resilience, high availability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Utilize artificial intelligence tools like Cursor and GitHub Copilot to expedite development and enhance code quality.
• Conceptualize, develop, and refine resilient, high-performance microservices using Python.
• Transition business rules from the .NET monolith to the Python platform (Medmax).
• Ensure asynchronous integrations through Kafka, RabbitMQ, and RESTful APIs.
• Advocate and implement unit testing, integration testing, and cross-functional testing, including conducting code reviews.
• Establish observability and monitoring systems using New Relic and OpenTelemetry.
• Draft RFCs, ADRs, System Design diagrams, and BPMN workflows.
• Conduct root cause analyses and post-mortems during incidents.
• Share prompts, agents, and AI best practices with the team.
• Collaborate across areas and squads, defining technical contracts and influencing architectural decisions.
• Extensive experience in backend development with Python.
• Strong background in designing and constructing microservices-based architectures and decoupling monolithic systems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure cloud environments.
• Proficiency in event-driven architectures and messaging with Kafka and/or RabbitMQ.
• Experience in creating RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with tools such as Cursor and GitHub Copilot.
• Strong commitment to code quality, with an emphasis on unit and integration test coverage.
• A culture of documentation that includes RFCs, ADRs, and System Design.
• Knowledge and practical use of observability and APM tools like New Relic, OpenTelemetry, and Datadog.
• High level of autonomy, self-management, and proactivity.
• Familiarity with .NET/C# is an advantage.
• Awareness of security, Brazil’s LGPD, and the anonymization of personal data is a plus.
• Experience with large-scale projects aimed at cloud cost efficiency is a plus.
