This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop systems focused on consumer Identity and Access Management (IAM) for Reddit’s engineering division, catering to millions of daily users.
• Design, construct, and deploy backend services that enhance Reddit's user experiences.
• Collaborate with product management, security, client engineering, and backend teams to articulate and implement Reddit’s IAM vision and strategy.
• Identify, scope, and carry out impactful projects that align with Reddit’s objectives.
• Implement strategies to create a more efficient, scalable, and high-quality IAM architecture.
• Work together with cross-functional teams within Reddit Engineering.
• Continuously learn and enhance both technical and non-technical skills.
• Over 3 years of experience in designing and developing distributed backend systems.
• Experience in IAM, specifically in the areas of authorization or authentication.
• Proficient in one or more general-purpose programming languages, with a preference for Go.
• Familiarity with key cloud infrastructure components: Kubernetes, CI/CD, AWS, GCP.
• Strong empathy and outstanding communication skills for effective collaboration across the organization.
