Backend Developer Java/Kotlin III – Financial Digital Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Incrementally write and test code, adhering to agile methodologies while producing clear documentation;

• Conduct thorough code reviews and provide assistance to colleagues with complex design choices;

• Continuously test, deploy, and monitor your code in the production environment;

• Create new tools to enhance and optimize the workflow of the entire team;

• Collaborate with colleagues across teams to develop our ecosystem;

• Engage in strategic projects for Grupo Boticário;

• Maintain our payments platform by identifying issues, root causes, and their implications;

• Propel the evolution of our payments platform and collaborate with the team to shape its future direction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and deploying software solutions to production;

• Strong proficiency in Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot;

• Familiarity with Kafka;

• Interest in and understanding of data structures;

• Experience working with microservices;

• Knowledge of monitoring and logging practices;

• Experience with scheduled tasks such as cron jobs and job schedulers;

• Understanding of REST and event-driven architecture;

• Hands-on experience with unit and integration testing;

• A critical approach to performance and security concerns;

• Strong emphasis on software quality, system evolution, problem decomposition, and abstraction;

• Exceptional ability to learn new practices, technologies, programming languages, and engineering cultures;

• Proficiency with Git or another collaborative version control system;

• Capable of conducting root cause analysis for software-related issues;

• Experience with load testing methodologies;

• Ability to mediate conflicts and assist in refining user stories;

• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
