Back-End Software Engineer, Laravel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Georgia.

• Create innovative fintech applications and enhance features of current ones

• Improve code for optimal scalability and maintainability

• Collaborate with team members throughout the application development life cycle

• Develop microservices and contribute to the design of microservice infrastructure

• Be available for evening meetings and essential communication with team members

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of eight years in software development, with a proven track record of launching real-world products

• In-depth knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

• At least five years of experience with PHP/Laravel

• Comprehensive understanding of Laravel Service Container, Eloquent ORM, Queues, Cache, and related concepts

• Capability to write scalable, clean, maintainable, and well-documented high-load applications

• Strong grasp of stateless concepts

• Extensive knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Redis

• Practical experience with RabbitMQ and Kafka for inter-service communication and event streaming in microservices

• Significant experience in creating RESTful APIs

• Advanced comprehension of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security

• Proven experience in building and maintaining production microservices and designing microservice infrastructure

• Extensive use of Git and GitHub

• Hands-on experience with authorized Enterprise AI Tools for software development, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation, with the ability to critically evaluate, secure, and improve AI-generated outputs

• Proficient English communication skills

• Experience in building MCP servers is an advantage

• Willingness to learn new programming languages, tools, and applications
