Azure Solutions Architect – Presales

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the sales team to grasp customer requirements and suggest data analytics and infrastructure solutions based on Microsoft Azure.

• Design, architect, and showcase customized solutions utilizing Microsoft Azure services.

• Facilitate client-facing technical discussions, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept sessions focused on Azure data analytics, AI, and cloud infrastructure.

• Provide guidance on Azure architecture, scalability, security, data governance, and cost optimization strategies.

• Create technical proposals in response to RFIs/RFPs that detail Azure-platform solutions.

• Work in conjunction with product and engineering teams to enhance and refine offerings.

• Conduct technical workshops, webinars, and presentations for both clients and internal teams.

• Remain up-to-date on Azure technologies, data analytics trends, and industry best practices.

• Assist in the transition of projects from pre-sales to post-sales teams.

• Engage directly with the Azure Sales organization to strengthen Microsoft Field Sales partnerships.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud solution architecture, pre-sales engineering, or data analytics with an emphasis on Microsoft Azure.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering Microsoft Azure data and infrastructure solutions within a pre-sales context.

• Previous experience in Azure Delivery collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, Power BI, Azure Application Delivery Services, and networking, security, and monitoring aspects.

• Strong skills in cloud architecture design and implementation, focusing on high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery within Azure.

• Comprehensive understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing principles on Azure.

• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments, including GDPR and HIPAA regulations.

• Experience with cloud cost management and optimization methodologies.

• Practical knowledge of Bicep, Terraform, Ansible, and AzCLI.

• Expertise in migrating data warehouses from on-premises hardware and server-based data warehouses, including Netezza, Exadata, SQL, and Mongo.

• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, capable of converting technical concepts into business value for non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.

• Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently in a dynamic environment.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented setting.

• Preferred but not mandatory: Microsoft Azure certifications; experience in integrating Azure solutions with ERP systems or third-party applications; experience with large enterprise clients and complex sales cycles.
