Azure Integration, DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, deploy, and provide support for Azure integration solutions.

• Create event-driven and serverless architectures utilizing Azure Event Hubs, Functions, Logic Apps, and API Management.

• Develop and sustain Terraform Infrastructure as Code to enable consistent Azure infrastructure deployments.

• Construct and uphold CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

• Automate processes related to Azure provisioning, configuration, deployment, monitoring, and operations.

• Implement secure solutions using Entra ID, managed identities, Key Vault, RBAC, and best practices for cloud security.

• Monitor and resolve application, integration, infrastructure, and production issues through Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.

• Create APIs, integrations, and automation using C#/.NET, Python, PowerShell, or similar technologies.

• Leverage GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, and other authorized AI-assisted development tools to enhance development, testing, documentation, and automation.

• Collaborate with developers, architects, cybersecurity teams, and government stakeholders to deliver mission-oriented solutions.

• Provide support in a mission-critical environment for the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security.


⛳️ Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in Azure, cloud engineering, DevOps, software development, or systems integration.

• Secret clearance is mandatory.

• Practical experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Event Hubs, and associated integration services.

• Strong background in Terraform/IaC and automated deployment of Azure infrastructure.

• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.

• Knowledge of cloud security principles including RBAC, managed identities, Entra ID, and Key Vault.

• Excellent troubleshooting and automation capabilities.

• Up to 10% travel may be required.

• Experience with Azure API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, Azure Monitor, and Application Insights.

• Proficiency with Terraform modules and enterprise IaC methodologies.

• Experience utilizing GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, or similar AI-assisted development tools.
