
Azure Evangelist – Pre-Sales Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Lead opportunities from concept to completion
• Assess requirements and facilitate discovery and architecture workshops
• Create target-state visions, solution concepts, and proposals
• Generate new business prospects with current and potential clients
• Proactively monitor pipeline opportunities and advance the next steps
• Convert customer requirements into solution architectures utilizing the Azure portfolio
• Provide feedback to enhance product development
• Collaborate with cloud architects, platform teams, CIOs, IT leadership, and procurement
• Articulate Infrastructure as Code, governance, and managed services in an understandable manner
• Assist in tenders and proposals with technical knowledge, demonstrations, and solution concepts
• Create effort estimates and operational models
• Partner with Microsoft Azure teams and utilize Microsoft programs and funding options
• Further expand the Azure business through market analysis, use cases, portfolio positioning, and feedback on roadmaps and pricing
• Represent the Azure unit in customer workshops, Microsoft events, and professional networks
• Several years of experience in the Azure environment as an architect, consultant, or pre-sales engineer
• Experience engaging with enterprise customers
• Hands-on experience with the Cloud Adoption Framework and Enterprise-Scale Landing Zones
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform/OpenTofu, GitOps, and CI/CD
• Capability to identify and qualify opportunities and systematically track them to closure
• Skill in simplifying complex topics into clear narratives for whiteboards, presentations, and proposals
• Strong interest in sales while not being solely focused on sales tasks
• Current Microsoft Azure certifications or a commitment to obtain them swiftly
• Enthusiasm for Azure, platform engineering, containers, data, and AI
• Proficiency in both German and English, with strong negotiation abilities
• Willingness to travel within the DACH region
