AWS Technical Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the existing AWS systems and pinpoint areas for enhancement and improvement.

• Elevate operational excellence within the USPTO AWS environment in collaboration with the operations lead.

• Act as the final escalation point alongside the Program Manager to ensure compliance with response SLAs.

• Work together with client stakeholders and customers to establish technical requirements and objectives.

• Spearhead the design of system enhancements and assist in supervising client deliverables.

• Aid the USPTO in embracing AI practices.

• Lead a team of DevOps Engineers and ensure the implementation of innovative and secure cloud strategies.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and manage a backlog of enhancements.

• Collaborate with senior leadership, enterprise architecture teams, and agency personnel on strategies for cloud adoption.

⛳️ Requirements

• U.S. Citizen/Green Card Holder eligible for Public Trust clearance.

• Over 10 years of experience in IT/digital transformation.

• More than 5 years of direct experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud architectures and implementations.

• Strong skills in communication and collaboration.

• Expertise in leading multi-tenant cloud systems, including landing zones and multi-account frameworks.

• Experience in team management and developing team members.

• Proven experience in developing and managing highly available, secure, and automated solutions that align with best practices.

• Familiarity with DevOps/DevSecOps methodologies and tools, such as Terraform, Jenkins, and GitLab.

• Professional cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP are preferred.

• Demonstrated experience in integrating on-premise systems with cloud environments is preferred.
