AWS Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and oversee Microsoft SQL Server production deployments on AWS RDS and EC2.

• Manage and enhance AWS infrastructure that supports Deltek Vantagepoint, Deltek Vision, and SSRS reporting platforms.

• Oversee AWS integrations that facilitate Deltek Vantagepoint, third-party HRIS systems, SQL automations, and enterprise workflows.

• Create and execute solutions for database backup, point-in-time recovery, high availability, and multi-region disaster recovery.

• Diagnose infrastructure bottlenecks, optimize storage and database performance, and appropriately scale AWS resources.

• Uphold AWS security protocols, including IAM, network segmentation, encryption, access controls, and monitoring practices.

• Keep technical documentation updated for AWS architecture, databases, integrations, security measures, and operational procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing AWS services such as EC2, RDS, VPC, Route53, IAM, CloudWatch, and SNS.

• At least 1 year of experience in developing or supporting serverless AWS services, including Lambda and Step Functions.

• Over 2 years of hands-on experience with Deltek Vantagepoint or advanced Deltek Vision environments.

• Experience in administering AWS infrastructure for Deltek ERP applications and databases.

• Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint architecture, application dependencies, integrations, reporting infrastructure, and database schemas.

• Advanced experience in SQL Server administration within AWS settings.

• Experience managing SQL Server on both RDS and EC2.

• In-depth knowledge of Always On Availability Groups, backup/recovery processes, performance tuning, and high-availability design.

• Direct experience in architecting or supporting SSRS environments.

• Experience in supporting ERP-related integrations, middleware, APIs, and automated data workflows.

• Strong background in Windows Server administration in AWS-hosted enterprise environments.

• A secure and dedicated home office workspace.

• Capability to collaborate effectively across various U.S. time zones.

• Direct experience working with Deltek Vantagepoint or Deltek Vision in an AWS-hosted environment is mandatory.

• Experience in supporting Deltek environments in AEC industry organizations is highly preferred.

• Preferred certifications include AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate, AWS Certified CloudOps Engineer Associate, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional.

• Experience in developing data transformation and automation solutions using Python is preferred.

• PCED Certified Entry-Level Data Analyst with Python or a higher certification is preferred.

• Experience in supporting Deltek implementations, upgrades, migrations, or cloud transformations is preferred.
