AVP, IT Operations – Cybersecurity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish the strategic framework for the organization's cybersecurity posture and IT operations.

• Oversee multiple functional areas and formulate an enterprise-wide strategy.

• Ensure alignment with DIRECTV's business objectives.

• Transform corporate goals into practical security and operations roadmaps.

• Manage substantial budgets, resources, and cross-functional teams.

• Lead and steer the overall strategy for cybersecurity and IT operations across the organization.

• Develop and endorse cybersecurity and IT operations policies across various functional areas and business units.

• Create and sustain strategic roadmaps that are in line with broader business objectives.

• Collaborate with executive leadership to synchronize business strategy with organizational goals.

• Oversee cybersecurity domain experts and technical leaders from multiple teams.

• Direct and manage activities across several functional areas.

• Advocate for security-by-design principles.

• Maintain relationships with external partners, vendors, and third-party stakeholders.

• Articulate the cybersecurity posture, strategic direction, and emerging risks to senior management.

• Lead the creation and implementation of organizational security policies.

• Provide analytical insights and reporting to support executive decision-making.

• Take charge of budget planning, allocation, and financial performance.

• Propel continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and cost management.

• Make strategic decisions regarding resource allocation.

• Assess complex, high-impact issues and apply risk mitigation strategies.

• Make pivotal decisions that influence functional, divisional, or company-wide operations.

• Anticipate and address evolving cybersecurity threats and operational challenges.

• Extensive knowledge and proven experience in cybersecurity, IT operations, and strategic planning.

• Demonstrated success in leading large-scale operational functions within a complex organization.

• Experience overseeing intricate organizational structures, multiple teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Proven track record in managing relationships with external partners and vendors.

• Strong executive leadership skills.

• Ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels.

• Capability to serve as a strategic business partner to senior executives.

• Excellent analytical abilities.

• Proficiency in translating data and risk assessments into actionable strategies.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• Ability to explain complex security and operational issues to non-technical executive audiences.

• Competence in developing and approving corporate/organizational policies with enterprise-wide implications.

• Comfort in directing multiple functional areas through layered team structures.

• May necessitate a background check due to regular access to DIRECTV and DIRECTV customer proprietary data.

• Must reside in the United States, excluding Alaska.

• Requires 10% travel.
