This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Lead and manage a team of 4 Host Business Development Managers.
• Propel business expansion and enhance market share for Travel Insured International within the Host Agencies sector.
• Formulate and implement growth strategies for Host Agency partnerships to meet revenue goals and strengthen host integration.
• Foster relationships with Host Agency executives and leadership teams.
• Discover and seize new business opportunities within designated Host Agencies.
• Establish quarterly business reviews, executive check-ins, and annual growth strategies.
• Assist with advisor onboarding, training, partner communications, and field engagement.
• Oversee Host Channel marketing and manage event-related contracts, sponsorships, co-op marketing agreements, and event expenditure governance.
• Design and oversee co-op programs and bonus override structures linked to measurable outcomes.
• Mentor Host BDMs in activating advisor memberships, boosting sales conversion, and maximizing market share.
• Represent TII at events, conferences, roadshows, top-producer programs, trade shows, and consortia gatherings.
• Manage sales tracking utilizing Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
• Monitor performance indicators and deliver precise, timely executive reports.
• Analyze industry trends, competitor movements, and market changes to refine channel strategies.
• Collaborate with product, underwriting, finance, operations, and marketing teams on enablement and partner initiatives.
• Project Host Channel growth and establish annual revenue objectives.
• Maintain relationships with Host Agencies through meetings, training sessions, and strategy reviews.
• Travel 25%–35% of the time, including both domestic and international travel.
• A bachelor’s degree or comparable experience is mandatory.
• 10+ years of relevant experience is required, preferably in travel or hospitality sales.
• At least 3 years of experience in a managerial role is preferred.
• Experience working with Host Agencies and directly engaging with Host Agency executives and leadership teams is essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate skills in Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and OneNote.
• Knowledge of or experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM and e-commerce platforms.
• Strong ability to influence sales and persuade current and prospective partners to advocate for and promote TII products.
• Advanced relationship management capabilities with consortia partners, host agencies, and travel advisor networks.
• Ability to work collaboratively with product, marketing, finance, and technology teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to deliver professional presentations and sway decision-makers.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, analyzing sales performance, and refining growth strategies.
• A valid passport is required.
• Willingness to attend multiple conferences/events annually, potentially including international travel.
• Must reside within the assigned territory.
• A Personal Lines or Property/Casualty Lines License is preferred.
