Aviation Maintenance Technician 135 – Sr Pool

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +10 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct inspections and repairs on aircraft and components following maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, Federal Aviation Regulations, and maintenance manuals.

• Strategically plan maintenance tasks to enhance aircraft availability.

• Act as Lead Mechanic when the Lead Mechanic is unavailable.

• Verify the part and serial numbers of installed or removed components and assemblies against related documentation.

• Complete aircraft maintenance records in accordance with regulations, company policies, procedures, and maintenance manuals.

• Request aviation parts and supplies while ensuring a well-organized and sufficient inventory.

• Engage in the continuous improvement phase (level 4) of the company's Safety Management System.

• Keep a tidy and professional workspace.

• Inform the Pilot in Command about maintenance issues that could ground an aircraft.

• Rectify compliance or safety concerns as directed by authorized operations, maintenance, safety, or leadership personnel.

• Validate or confirm data in aircraft Status Reports.

• Mentor fellow mechanics and provide on-the-job training at the base.

• Troubleshoot issues and offer both on-site and over-the-phone assistance to outlying mechanics.

• Ensure timely on-call availability during nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• Be prepared to travel 100% of the time.

⛳️ Requirements

• Reside in the Northeast Region: CT, DE, MA, MD, NC, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, VA, or WV.

• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience and/or training.

• Current and active FAA A&P license is mandatory.

• FAA A&P License must be in good standing.

• Experience with EC135 or EC145 aircraft.

• Proficient in electrical troubleshooting and vibration-balancing techniques.

• Knowledge of sheet metal and composite repair procedures.

• Capability to read and interpret 337s, Service Bulletins, ADs, and associated documents.

• Skilled in Microsoft Suite applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotation.

• Strong ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• Completion of factory airframe/power plant schools is preferred.

• Experience with FAR 135 operations is preferred.

• Familiarity with RAMCO is preferred.

• Inspection Authorization (IA) is preferred.

• Must comply with DOT/FAA drug and/or alcohol testing requirements.
