Automation Tester

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Actively engage throughout the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), encompassing requirement analysis, test planning, test case design, execution, defect management, and reporting.

• Create, develop, sustain, and run UI automation scripts utilizing Java and Selenium.

• Design and implement API automation for REST/SOAP services, ensuring response validation, data accuracy, and integration checks.

• Conduct database testing, which involves SQL queries, data validation, CRUD operations, joins, and backend data verification.

• Identify appropriate candidates for automation and assist in the development and upkeep of the automation framework.

• Incorporate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines and facilitate scheduled/regression test executions.

• Evaluate test failures, determine root causes, and collaborate with development teams to rectify defects.

• Utilize AI platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, and other GenAI tools for generating test cases, aiding automation code, creating test data, analyzing failures, and enhancing productivity.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies and work in partnership with QA, development, BA, and other relevant stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–7 years of relevant experience.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Java and Selenium WebDriver.

• Solid understanding of STLC and foundational software testing principles.

• Practical experience in UI and API automation.

• Proficient SQL skills and experience in database testing.

• Familiarity with automation frameworks such as TestNG/JUnit, Maven, and Cucumber/BDD is advantageous.

• Good grasp of Git and CI/CD concepts.

• Hands-on experience with AI/GenAI platforms like ChatGPT or Claude for software testing and automation tasks.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging abilities.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
