Automation Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create prototypes, small-scale applications, and scripts to automate Excel spreadsheets while optimizing PP processes, including reporting.

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Microsoft Office applications by managing both frontend and backend development utilizing Microsoft technologies.

• Design, configure, and implement enhancements, production fixes, and new systems, ensuring proper configuration management.

• Adhere to development best practices and patterns to deliver high-quality automation solutions.

• Produce and maintain technical documentation, which includes user manuals and guides for end users.

• Define system scope and objectives tailored to the unique needs of users in the PP domain.

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and modify existing system logic to guarantee smooth performance and accuracy.

• Maintain, support, and upgrade existing MS Excel and MS Access VBA applications by translating business requirements into effective solutions.

• Conduct object-oriented analysis, design, and thorough testing to ensure optimal functionality and performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 1 year of experience in automation, VBA, Python, AI, or similar technologies applied to business processes.

• A solid understanding of data management, UI development, and backend coding.

• A continuous learner with a passion for adopting cutting-edge automation tools and techniques.

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in automation, preferably with VBA, RPA, AI, OCR, JavaScript, Power Automate, or similar technology-driven process improvements.

• Experience in managing large data sets and deploying real-time solutions.

• Involvement in automation projects within a business process environment.

• Experience in reviewing and optimizing processes to design efficient and accurate automation solutions.

• Familiarity with environments lacking direct integration to customer systems.

• Proficient with automation platforms such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate, or similar.

• Strong grasp of data management systems, UI design, and complex backend coding.

• Capability to recommend and implement the latest automation tools and AI-driven technologies (OCR, data extraction).

• Knowledge of scripting languages like VBA, Python, or JavaScript for automation tasks.

• Familiarity with cloud data storage and considerations for multi-country hosting.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and a self-motivated mindset for independent work.

• Basic experience with cloud/Microsoft Azure is a plus.
