Automation and Control System Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Create and lead the digital services execution team

• Implement and assist with digital services projects

• Offer control system support for Operation and Maintenance sites

• Supply technical assistance, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting for Siemens PCS7 control systems

• Configure and upgrade control systems, which includes hardware enhancements, software updates, and improvements to control strategies

• Identify and resolve intricate issues related to hardware, software, networks, and field instruments

• Aid in the commissioning and start-up of new control systems, covering hardware installation, software setup, and system integration

• Deliver training and technical assistance to customers on system operation, maintenance best practices, and safety protocols

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related discipline

• Extensive experience with industrial control systems, particularly Siemens PCS7 and TIA Portal

• Practical experience in control system integration, HMI/SCADA systems, and field instrumentation

• Expertise in control logic development (PLC/DCS) and system design

• Knowledge of industry protocols such as Profibus, Modbus, OPC, and Ethernet/IP

• Strong understanding of servers, database systems, and data historians

• Willingness to travel to plant sites, primarily within the UK, with possible international trips

• Must participate in the Call Out Rota
