This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Investigate and manage both personal and commercial auto claims from initial assignment to final resolution.
• Conduct recorded statements with insured individuals, claimants, and witnesses as necessary.
• Acquire and examine police reports, accident reports, and other supporting documentation.
• Assess liability based on facts, evidence, relevant laws, and policy coverage.
• Evaluate damages, liability, coverage, and potential claim exposure.
• Establish and uphold suitable claim reserves.
• Review claims and negotiate settlements within assigned authority limits.
• Ensure prompt and accurate resolution of claims in alignment with client expectations and company standards.
• Identify and pursue subrogation opportunities when applicable.
• Communicate effectively with claimants, insured parties, attorneys, repair facilities, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain precise claim documentation and record all activities within claim files.
• Review vehicle valuations and ascertain Actual Cash Value (ACV).
• Oversee total loss claims until settlement is reached.
• Negotiate total loss settlements with both claimants and insured individuals.
• Coordinate title processing, salvage disposition, and settlement documentation.
• Review valuation reports and supporting documentation for accuracy.
• Communicate settlement offers and clarify valuation methodologies to customers.
• Resolve disputes regarding total loss valuations.
• Provide updates on claim status and resolution to clients, claimants, repair facilities, and vendors.
• Address escalated customer concerns.
• Foster strong client relationships through responsiveness and high-quality service.
• Ensure claim files adhere to quality and compliance standards.
• Meet expectations for productivity, quality, and cycle time.
• Maintain accurate reporting of claims.
• Utilize technology and reporting tools to manage workloads effectively.
• Support initiatives for process improvement and best practices.
• Assist in program growth and client service initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• Provide support for catastrophe and surge claim operations when necessary.
• Assist with quality assurance reviews and process improvement initiatives.
• Engage in training and mentoring opportunities.
• Current adjuster's license or the ability to obtain and maintain required state licenses.
• Preferred professional industry certifications.
• A minimum of four (4) years of experience in auto claims handling, auto adjusting, or related claims management is preferred.
• Experience in handling total loss claims and negotiating settlements.
• Familiarity with both standard and non-standard personal and commercial auto claims is preferred.
• Prior experience with insurance carriers, third-party administrators (TPA), or independent adjusting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of auto claims handling procedures and insurance principles.
• Understanding of liability investigations, coverage analysis, and claims resolution.
• Knowledge of total loss valuation methodologies, title processing, and salvage procedures.
• Excellent negotiation and settlement skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and claims management platforms.
• Ability to create and complete comprehensive, accurate, and professional claim documentation and reports.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
• Experience handling insurance claims that involve liability investigations and coverage decisions.
• Experience managing total loss evaluations and negotiating settlements for total loss claims.
• Experience working directly with insurance carriers, TPAs, or independent adjusting firms.
• Salvage and recovery experience.
• Familiarity with estimating platforms such as CCC ONE, Mitchell, or Audatex.
• Experience with Bodily Injury (BI) claims is an advantage.
• Bilingual skills are beneficial but not mandatory.
• Professional insurance designations or industry certifications are a plus.
• Ability to work under deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
• Capacity to exercise sound judgment and discretion.
• Proficiency in computer and keyboard use.
• Ability to communicate effectively via phone, video conference, and email.
