Audit Manager – Not-for-Profit

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee, direct, and manage various client engagements

• Organize and coordinate workflow and staffing for financial audit projects and engagements

• Maintain ongoing client communication to align expectations and ensure satisfaction

• Effectively lead change initiatives

• Provide consulting services and offer recommendations for business and process enhancements

• Act as a business advisor to clients

• Collaborate with principals and senior managers on proposals and business development efforts

• Assist with or take part in board presentations

• Understand and navigate firm risk related to audits and proposals

• Manage, develop, train, mentor, and supervise staff members

• Evaluate performance during engagement and performance meetings

• Participate in talent recruitment

• Attend professional development, networking events, and training seminars as needed

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a CPA License

• At least 5+ years of progressive experience in public accounting

• Highly developed analytical and problem-solving capabilities

• Demonstrated success in supervisory and training roles

• Strong analytical, technical, and auditing skills, along with knowledge of relevant rules and standards

• Capability to manage multiple engagements and shifting priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced, results-oriented team environment

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities

• Strong interpersonal skills, relationship-building capabilities, and organizational skills

• Experience with Uniform Guidance Compliance audits
