Audio Description Script Writer – Mandarin, Simplified

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Craft and/or edit Mandarin (simplified) audio description narration scripts for film and television productions.

• Adhere to deadlines set by the DVW Project Manager and report any issues that may affect script submission.

• Ensure that audio description scripts align with DVW and client quality standards.

• Conduct quality control and proofreading for audio description scripts created by other writers.

• Collaborate with fellow writers in a team-oriented environment.

• Work in a remote capacity.

• A strong commitment to accessibility and inclusion.

• Native proficiency in Mandarin.

• Familiarity with audio description guidelines and best practices.

• At least 1 year of demonstrated experience in Audio Description script writing or quality control.

• Excellent command of Mandarin grammar and stylistic elements.

• Proficient comprehension of English.

• Experience in media production, localization, or copywriting is advantageous.
