This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee an organization of 40+ associates dedicated to Technology procurement and supplier management.
• Act as the senior Procurement relationship leader and a trusted commercial advisor to the Technology Leadership Team.
• Convert Technology strategy, architecture, investment priorities, and roadmaps into category, supplier, and commercial strategies.
• Link Technology planning and funding decisions with sourcing pipelines, renewal calendars, and value commitments.
• Provide guidance to leaders on alternatives for make, buy, partner, renew, consolidate, and exit.
• Present executive recommendations that cover value, cost, risk, contractual exposure, optionality, and trade-offs.
• Enhance processes for intake, sourcing, due diligence, contracting, approvals, and renewals.
• Define service levels, ownership, escalation paths, and performance measures.
• Manage enterprise strategies for software and SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, hardware, telecommunications, technology labor, consulting, and managed services.
• Create value through license and consumption optimization, demand reduction, supplier rationalization, commercial model redesign, contractual value recovery, and supplier innovation.
• Lead negotiations that are complex, high-value, and high-risk in Technology.
• Supervise Supplier Managers responsible for strategic and enterprise-critical Technology suppliers.
• Establish supplier governance, scorecards, performance expectations, issue-management disciplines, and joint value plans.
• Tackle risks related to cybersecurity, resiliency, concentration, financial, operational, data, and fourth-party issues.
• Lead and cultivate a team of over 40 associates, including Category Managers, Supplier Managers, and procurement professionals.
• Incorporate AI, analytics, and digital tools into strategy, negotiation preparation, contract analysis, supplier monitoring, and risk identification.
• Develop a cohesive IT Procurement operating model connecting Category Management, Supplier Management, sourcing, contracting, Procurement operations, and Finance.
• Set an operational cadence for category strategy, pipeline, value delivery, cycle time, renewals, supplier performance, risk, and talent.
• Assess success through validated financial value, improved cycle times, supplier performance, resilience, risk outcomes, decision quality, and talent development.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, Supplier Management, Technology Finance, or related commercial leadership roles.
• Significant leadership responsibility for intricate Technology spending and supplier portfolios.
• 7+ years of people leadership experience, including the ability to build, transform, and retain high-performing teams.
• Extensive commercial expertise in several Technology domains, including software and SaaS, cloud and infrastructure, technology labor, managed services, hardware, telecommunications, or consulting.
• Proven success in managing large Technology portfolios and conducting high-value strategic negotiations.
• Experience with portfolios nearing or exceeding $1 billion in annual spend is highly favored.
• Demonstrated ability to counsel CIO-level executives and influence decisions without depending on positional authority.
• Proven track record of translating Technology and business strategies into category, supplier, demand, and commercial strategies.
• Strong understanding of licensing, subscription, consumption, capacity, outcome-based, and managed-service commercial models.
• Experience assessing total cost of ownership, supplier economics, contractual structures, switching costs, and value-realization assumptions.
• Proven success in strategic supplier governance, performance enhancement, risk mitigation, and executive escalation.
• History of delivering significant financial value while balancing speed, service, innovation, resilience, and enterprise risk.
• Experience in streamlining end-to-end processes, clarifying cross-functional accountability, and leading impactful operating-model changes.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• Self-provided internet service that meets the minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps.
• Capability to work from a designated area without continuous interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
