Associate Vice President – Strategic Relations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee accounts for public transit clients and related geographic accounts.

• Expand RailPros service offerings, specifically in contract railroad flagging, engineering services, public project management, real estate permitting, and utility observation.

• Act as a liaison between RailPros executives and management teams and public transit client management.

• Develop and implement a business strategy aimed at enhancing service utilization in the public transit sector.

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with key stakeholders within designated companies and agencies.

• Maintain a visible presence in the field by engaging with representatives at job sites and field offices.

• Identify opportunities for customer-experience enhancements and align service, communication, and technology initiatives.

• Recognize revenue opportunities and devise solutions that align with current or new service offerings.

• Facilitate internal and external communications between clients and RailPros.

• Initiate new flagging projects and additional service offerings, including project development, communications, pilot programs, and support.

• Organize and create client-focused marketing and advertising initiatives.

• Develop and showcase marketing materials to key stakeholders within client organizations.

• Identify and resolve any service-related issues or concerns.

• Ensure regular, two-way reporting and communication between clients and RailPros teams.

• Contribute to a workplace culture that is positive, inclusive, and respectful.

• Adhere to standards of integrity, accountability, and respect.

• Comply with company policies, procedures, and relevant laws and regulations.

• Perform additional duties as assigned or necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Seeking candidates located on the East Coast: MA, NY, PA, NJ, or D.C.

• Established connections with management-level peers in Engineering, Operations, and Procurement within public transit agencies.

• Strong understanding of public transit engineering services, both in-house and contracted.

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once.

• Exceptional organizational abilities.

• Proficient in using computers, email, and software for creating presentations and promotional materials.

• Capable of exercising discretion when dealing with sensitive or confidential information.

• Strong skills in presentation and delivery of new concepts.

• Minimum of 10 years of direct experience with Engineering, Operations, or Procurement departments in public transit agencies.

• Well-established network within the company and industry.

• Regular travel is anticipated, up to 60%.
