Associate, Value Based Contracting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +17 more states.

📋 Description

• Execute Value Based Contracting strategies under the guidance of the Network Manager and in collaboration with Market Leaders.

• Oversee and negotiate agreements with designated healthcare providers.

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for contracting specialists and/or analysts.

• Evaluate and analyze assigned provider contracts to pinpoint areas for enhancement and optimization.

• Utilize provider financial issues and competitor strategy data to inform negotiation and contracting decisions.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members on strategic objectives, training, and development.

• Assist in the implementation of contracting policies and workflows while identifying areas for process improvement.

• Achieve established metrics and SLAs, including provider outreach and contract finalization.

• Partner with Provider Services to facilitate servicing, education, and communication with the provider network.

• Supervise assigned networks for compliance and formulate corrective action plans.

• Adhere to relevant laws and regulations.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare client management, healthcare consulting, provider healthcare contracting, healthcare operations, or a related area.

• At least 2 years of experience in supporting provider network strategy development and negotiating provider contracts.

• Over 1 year of experience conducting financial analyses on markets or product lines and collaborating cross-functionally to identify improvement opportunities.

• More than 1 year of experience in navigating and organizing large datasets, such as claim files and provider rosters.

• An Associate’s degree or equivalent professional experience is a plus.

• Familiarity with Value Based Contracting is an additional advantage.

• Must reside in Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, or Virginia.
