Associate Supply Chain Planning Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Formulate and implement material strategy

• Evaluate supply sources and consolidate and prioritize demand needs

• Strategize inventory, distribution necessities, production, material, and rough-cut capacity for all product lines

• Engage in make/buy evaluations and long-term capacity and resource planning

• Assist in product phase-in/phase-out processes, manufacturing ramp-up, end-of-life management, and product-line oversight

• Examine and consolidate supply and demand needs

• Assess purchase material supply/demand positions utilizing Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools

• Organize inventory levels according to dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM) specifications

• Evaluate rough-cut capacity for ongoing and near-term manufacturing needs

• Adjust supply requirements based on inventory modifications

• Schedule phase-ins for new product lines and phase-outs for existing product lines

• Collaborate with the Source process area concerning inventory levels and working capital

• Generate and issue requisitions

• Receive and evaluate requirements for non-standard components

• Investigate lead times and pinpoint critical-path procurements

• Contribute to Northrop Grumman’s Space sector as part of the Strategic Space Systems Division Global Supply Chain team

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

• 0–2 years of pertinent experience

• Major in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Logistics and Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, Management Science, or a related discipline

• Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance

• U.S. citizenship is a requirement

• Capability to secure Special Access Program access within a reasonable timeframe, as determined by the company

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

• Preferred: overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher

• Preferred: experience in the Aerospace or Aviation sector

• Preferred: familiarity with FAR/DFAR

• Preferred: experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP

• Willingness to travel 10% of the time
