Associate Director – Supply Chain Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Direct the Global Supply Chain Development team and lead cross-functional enhancement initiatives within Planning and Fulfillment.

• Oversee the implementation of a 3-to-5-year strategic roadmap, priorities, and value creation initiatives that support over $5 billion in revenue.

• Spearhead supply chain transformation projects in Transportation and Warehousing aimed at optimizing costs and improving service.

• Facilitate Planning–Logistics synchronization through process enhancements, data improvements, and operational adjustments to boost OTIF performance.

• Streamline Planning-to-Fulfillment transitions to minimize service failures and execution inefficiencies.

• Collaborate with leaders to clarify the global Planning & Fulfillment operating model and the responsibilities regarding inventory, deployment, and execution decisions.

• Enforce Planning & Fulfillment policies that align with business needs.

• Recognize and evaluate opportunities for capability enhancement, performance improvement, and value creation.

• Formulate analytical recommendations and assist in prioritizing projects.

• Address complex supply chain challenges and devise actionable end-to-end process solutions.

• Keep track of competitive, macroeconomic, and geopolitical trends that affect supply chain development priorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Business or a related discipline.

• An MBA or MS is preferred.

• 5 to 8 years of experience in supply chain development, planning, analytics, and operations.

• At least 5 years of professional experience collaborating within cross-functional teams.

• Over 2 years of project management experience.

• Familiarity with one or more Integrated Supply Chain functions: Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, Planning, and/or Fulfillment.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively with functional leaders to resolve business challenges and present solutions to leadership.

• Exceptional leadership and influencing capabilities in a highly matrixed, consensus-focused organization.

• Competence in managing ambiguity and juggling multiple projects simultaneously.

• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation abilities.

• Capacity to synthesize data, set actionable goals, and support metric-driven execution.

• Strong problem-solving skills to address complex business issues and devise practical supply chain recommendations.

• Critical thinking ability to constructively challenge ideas and assumptions.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Advanced Excel.

• Previous experience in a global supply chain, medical device manufacturing network, healthcare services, and/or specialty pharmacy environment is preferred.

• Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and clarify processes.
