Associate Software Engineer, CMS-HIOS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and uphold software solutions that align with customer and business goals.

• Plan, develop, execute, and document both manual and automated testing for functional, integration, system, regression, performance, and release-readiness activities.

• Maintain and enhance reusable test suites, manage defects and test evidence, and ensure traceability between requirements and outcomes.

• Utilize JMeter, Postman, Selenium, and Playwright for automating tests.

• Ensure accessibility compliance using tools like ANDI, Inspect DevTool, CCA, NVDA, and JAWS.

• Implement features and improvements with minimal supervision.

• Engage in code reviews and contribute to best practices in engineering.

• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and technical challenges.

• Collaborate with engineers, designers, business analysts, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Contribute to the creation of technical documentation and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

• Participate in Agile planning, estimation, sprint delivery, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Communicate technical solutions, risks, and progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Work alongside Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and other cross-functional team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a CMS Moderate Risk Public Trust clearance.

• Two or more years of experience in software development.

• Experience in building and maintaining software applications.

• Understanding of software engineering principles and development methodologies.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.
