This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Assess responses to test items submitted by teacher candidates in California.
β’ Assimilate scoring criteria, engage in discussions, and collaborate with fellow scorers in consensus scoring activities.
β’ Identify and address various forms of bias, such as implicit bias, cultural bias, leniency bias, central tendency bias, and the halo effect, while implementing strategies to minimize personal biases in scoring.
β’ Adhere to the quality and productivity standards set for the scoring program.
β’ Attend training sessions prior to the commencement of scoring and possibly a short orientation meeting.
β’ Participate in scoring sessions scheduled intermittently from Monday to Friday.
β’ Possess a Teaching Credential in California relevant to the content area, have a minimum of three years of teaching experience, and be currently teaching or have taught within the last three years in California; or be an instructor at a California higher education institution who has taught relevant classes in the past three years; or have experience as a scorer for Single Subject Assessments for Teaching in the relevant content area; or have ongoing experience as a scorer in the content field after meeting any of the above qualifications; or have a valid authorization to teach in California public schools in the relevant content area and be a current resident of California; or hold a graduate degree in the content area and be a current California resident; or possess a bachelor's degree, have substantial professional experience in the content area, and be a current resident of California; or hold a bachelor's and/or master's degree and be a graduate student currently teaching courses in the content area in California; or have participated as a CTC-approved member of the relevant CSET test development and/or standard-setting panel and be a current California resident; or be a CTC-approved scorer.
β’ Be a California resident eligible to work in the United States.
β’ Have basic computer skills, including familiarity with keyboard and mouse.
β’ Capability to sit for prolonged periods.
β’ Ability to uphold a confidential work environment.
β’ Successfully pass a qualifying assessment prior to scoring.
β’ Work remotely.
β’ Compensation of $17.50 per hour.
