Associate Research Director – Complex Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee research initiatives for intricate care cases

• Examine client medical records and their clinical histories

• Determine and assess diagnostic and treatment options, including global clinical trials and innovative evidence-based therapies

• Formulate and prioritize treatment strategies utilizing medical literature and insights from top experts

• Engage in client discussions with clinicians to relay research outcomes and facilitate shared decision-making

• Review patient medical records, which include laboratory values, symptoms, medication histories, and clinical outcomes

• Identify, review, and analyze medical literature; condense articles and contrast clinical study results in accessible language for patients

• Identify, analyze, and interpret molecular diagnostics and lab tests

• Research, assess, and prioritize treatment options, including care standards, professional guidelines, and investigational methodologies

• Locate and evaluate potential clinical trials through the creation of spreadsheets, database searches, evidence assessments, and communication with trial sites

• Develop patient education materials, reports, presentations, spreadsheets, graphs, and charts

⛳️ Requirements

• A PhD in a scientific or healthcare-related field is mandatory

• Early career professional experience in complex medical conditions such as autoimmune diseases, immunology, virology, chronic illnesses, infectious diseases, or rheumatology

• Familiarity with research best practices

• Proficient medical literature research skills, including use of PubMed and Google Scholar

• Outstanding interpersonal skills and a strong service orientation

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Able to work efficiently, resourcefully, and creatively while making quick decisions in uncertain situations and under tight deadlines

• Capability to work independently as well as collaborate with colleagues, coworkers, and external experts
