This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +2 more countries.
• Take charge of small to mid-sized translation projects from start to finish, ensuring they meet client expectations, deadlines, budget constraints, and quality benchmarks.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, collecting project requirements, facilitating smooth project initiation, and managing client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Outline project tasks, track progress, monitor milestones, and proactively address risks, escalating issues as necessary.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams to ensure smooth execution and clear communication.
• Contribute to both internal and client-facing reports, performance tracking, and issue resolution activities.
• Assist in quality control initiatives within project workflows, ensuring compliance with quality standards, review processes, and documentation requirements.
• Engage in quality investigations using methodologies like 5 Whys or Root Cause Analysis (RCA), supporting corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Help evaluate and implement automation and technology-driven solutions to enhance project efficiency and quality.
• Stay updated on industry trends, client landscapes, and regulatory considerations pertinent to language services in the life sciences sector.
• Promote cross-functional collaboration and contribute to the growth of ICON’s Language Services offerings through relationship-building and operational integration.
• Share knowledge and assist in the training and mentoring of junior staff members.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.
• 1-3 years of project management experience in translation, localization, or language services.
• Experience with translation projects in Life Sciences (pharmaceutical, medical device, clinical, or biotech) is a plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the capability to manage various stakeholders.
• Proficiency in CAT tools, translation management systems, and project tracking software.
• Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other document formats (e.g., PDFs, XML, PowerPoint).
• Strong attention to detail is essential.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word.
• Any form of project management or coordination experience is advantageous.
