This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Act as a vital subject matter expert on Medicare, Medicaid, and drug pricing policies impacting the pharmaceutical/biotech, health insurance, pharmacy, and PBM sectors.
• Formulate strategic and tactical recommendations tailored to clients’ policy and business requirements.
• Lead the daily execution of client projects and engagements under executive guidance.
• Oversee project teams and establish the execution strategy for projects or engagements.
• Ensure quality and timely delivery of services to clients.
• Create innovative offerings to address evolving client needs.
• Engage in firm-wide strategic discussions and planning sessions.
• Develop and implement business development plans that support the Policy Practice's sales and revenue objectives.
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff members.
• Produce thought leadership materials that enhance the visibility of personal expertise and practice capabilities.
• Provide analytical support and advisory services, including legislative strategies, regulatory analysis, and quantitative modeling of proposed and enacted policies.
• A degree in public health, public policy, political science, healthcare management, health policy, public administration, economics, business administration, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in analyzing policy proposals, legislation, and/or regulations, and effectively communicating findings and implications.
• In-depth understanding of healthcare-sector policy issues and market dynamics.
• Experience in overseeing and supervising the work of colleagues.
• Situational leadership abilities and capacity to inspire individuals at various organizational levels.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Word.
• At least 7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Extensive knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid policies, particularly Medicare Part D and the Inflation Reduction Act’s Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program.
• Previous project management and/or leadership experience.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• A graduate degree in a relevant discipline is highly preferred.
• Previous employment in pharmaceutical/biotech, life sciences consulting/advisory, or a federal government executive branch agency is strongly preferred.
• Experience with a health insurance company, PBM, trade association, advocacy group, healthcare-focused financial services firm, or Congress is highly desirable.
