Associate Principal, Healthcare Consulting

📋 Description

• Oversee analytics and insight generation for consulting projects aimed at enhancing patient and member experiences, improving quality, achieving operational excellence, and facilitating organizational transformation.

• Convert intricate datasets into concise, executive-level insights and strategic action plans.

• Organize and lead workshops, executive briefings, strategic planning sessions, and performance reviews with senior leaders in healthcare.

• Collaborate with clients to create, implement, and sustain initiatives focused on experience transformation.

• Define success metrics and develop measurement frameworks that showcase engagement impact and return on investment.

• Manage various client workstreams while ensuring high-quality outcomes and timely deliverables.

• Examine Press Ganey and client datasets to uncover performance trends, root causes, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.

• Create dashboards, scorecards, presentations, and visual data representations to assist in executive decision-making.

• Utilize both quantitative and qualitative insights to inform strategy development and operational enhancements.

• Collaborate with subject matter experts, analytics teams, and engagement leaders to verify findings and formulate recommendations.

• Identify key performance indicators and drivers related to patient experiences, quality outcomes, employee engagement, and operational efficiency.

• Foster trusted relationships with healthcare executives, physician leaders, and operational stakeholders.

• Act as a strategic advisor on initiatives aimed at experience improvement, cultural transformation, and quality excellence.

• Assist in identifying opportunities, developing proposals, designing solutions, and scoping engagements.

• Contribute to client retention and expansion by delivering measurable value and uncovering deeper partnership opportunities.

• Collaborate with consultants, product leaders, project managers, and analytics teams throughout client engagements.

• Advocate for best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the consulting organization.

• Participate in the advancement of consulting methodologies, tools, frameworks, and thought leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience within a health system, integrated delivery network, academic medical center, large medical group, or healthcare services organization.

• Proven experience in patient experience, quality improvement, performance enhancement, operational excellence, or healthcare transformation efforts.

• At least 3 years of experience in healthcare consulting or other client-facing advisory roles.

• Familiarity with patient experience measurement programs, including HCAHPS, Press Ganey, or related quality and experience initiatives.

• Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex healthcare datasets and effectively communicate findings to executive and operational audiences.

• Experience in developing dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics tools.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

• Strong understanding of healthcare quality metrics, performance measurement, regulatory reporting, and continuous improvement methodologies.

• Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and executive consulting skills.

• Ability to effectively influence stakeholders and drive action through data-informed recommendations.

• Strong project management and organizational skills, capable of juggling multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Highly collaborative, adaptable, and solution-oriented.

• Comfortable operating autonomously while managing client relationships and engagement deliverables.

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, Health Informatics, Data Analytics, Nursing, or a related field is required.

• Equivalent combinations of education and relevant healthcare consulting experience will be evaluated.

• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in member experience, health plans, payer organizations, or similar healthcare environments.

• A Master's degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Public Health (MPH), Business Administration (MBA), Nursing, or a related discipline is preferred.

• Experience in supporting executive-level strategic planning, organizational transformation, or large-scale performance improvement initiatives.

• Knowledge of inpatient operations, patient flow, nursing operations, service excellence, and care delivery redesign.

• Experience with advanced healthcare analytics, predictive modeling, and performance benchmarking.

• Previous experience working with senior health system executives and physician leaders.
