This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
• Establish and nurture relationships with leaders of state agencies, department heads, and procurement officials.
• Facilitate interactions with C-level customers and lead consultative strategy sessions.
• Oversee the complete range of deliverables and outcomes for complex deal engagements.
• Enhance client satisfaction and secure enduring public sector endorsements.
• Identify, pursue, and secure SLED business opportunities in line with state budget cycles.
• Spearhead responses to RFPs, RFIs, sole-source justifications, and cooperative purchasing mechanisms.
• Partner with solution architects and commercial teams to create compliant proposals.
• Design and manage intricate engagements and their delivery.
• Provide guidance to government entities on hybrid cloud migrations, AI adoption, enterprise architecture, and infrastructure resilience.
• Cultivate thought leadership and intellectual assets for the public sector market.
• Propel signings, revenue, backlog, and engagement margin objectives.
• Define project scope, negotiate fees, and minimize engagement risks.
• Monitor utilization and delivery-quality metrics.
• Lead multidisciplinary consulting teams.
• Mentor and nurture SLED consulting talent.
• Extensive experience in client relationship management and executive advisory roles within state government, municipal, or public sector settings.
• Proven track record in developing and commercializing consultative relationships with senior public sector leaders and department directors.
• Experience in leading complex IT consulting projects, cloud migrations, and infrastructure modernization efforts.
• Skilled in identifying, pursuing, and closing SLED business development opportunities.
• Understanding of state budget cycles and fiscal year planning processes.
• Familiarity with public sector procurement procedures, including RFPs/RFIs, sole-source justifications, NASPO, OMNIA, and GSA schedules.
• Financial acumen related to revenue growth, margin expectations, engagement risks, and contract backlog management.
• Experience supporting high-value business development initiatives and consulting proposals from pre-deal strategy through to delivery.
• Knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures and IT professional services solutions.
• Awareness of CJIS, FERPA, HIPAA, FedRAMP, and StateRAMP standards.
• Strong personal brand with an executive presence.
• Demonstrated capability to innovate and drive organizational change.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• Preferred: experience in state government or local municipalities.
• Preferred: background in a management consultancy, IT services firm, or cloud hyperscaler.
• Preferred: experience in client relationship management and enterprise account growth within New Jersey or Pennsylvania.
• Preferred: involvement in government IT modernization, digital equity, or smart community technology initiatives.
• Preferred: active certifications in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or IT service management.
• Preferred: MBA, MPA, or a related technical master’s degree.
