This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +13 more states.
• Report directly to the Senior Merchandise Planner
• Develop and oversee pre-season and in-season financial strategies for a designated product category
• Monitor the financial performance of assigned products in relation to planned sales, gross margins, and inventory objectives
• Analyze data and emerging trends to pinpoint risks and opportunities for organizational growth
• Reconcile and present financial plans utilizing both top-down and bottom-up methodologies
• Convert financial insights into actionable recommendations that align with business strategy
• Engage in seasonal merchandise planning strategies to optimize sales, stock levels, and inventory flow
• Assist in forecasting future merchandise and inventory requirements
• Collaborate with Category Managers to formulate pre-season strategies
• Create and deliver product and financial analyses for weekly business meetings and monthly planning sessions
• Assess seasonality, trends, and brand performance to inform future strategies
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Merchandising, Operations, or a related discipline
• 1–2 years of experience in Merchandise or Demand Planning, Replenishment, or Financial Planning
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Fundamental understanding of retail mathematics and forecasting methods
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Capacity to collaborate across various departments
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn from colleagues
• Experience with merchandise planning systems like Relex is preferred
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis
• Capable of working in a distraction-free remote environment
