This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Provide autonomous medical monitoring support for designated clinical studies, address medical inquiries, assist with protocol interpretation, and conduct medical data reviews to ensure adherence to protocols, consistency, and the scientific integrity of the data.
• Collaborate with the project manager during client discussions concerning safety-related inquiries or issues.
• Develop medical monitoring plans and other pertinent plans for the assigned studies prior to their initiation.
• Examine serious adverse events, SUSARs, and safety reports while analyzing similar cases.
• Aid the clinical data management team with MedDRA and WHO drug coding.
• Review clinical study documentation, including protocols, informed consent forms, clinical study reports, and safety reports.
• Contribute to the establishment and execution of data safety monitoring boards and dose-escalation meetings.
• Engage in and present at study startup meetings, investigator meetings, and other relevant gatherings.
• Offer 24/7 on-call medical support for urgent medical matters.
• Educate project teams on medical and therapeutic components of trials.
• Review protocol deviations.
• Identify study-related risks and assist in the risk management plan.
• Evaluate medical deliverables and contribute to budget tracking.
• Attend therapeutic and drug development conferences, with potential opportunities for presentations.
• Maintain effective communication and foster client relationships.
• Participate in client evaluations, site visits, and proposal presentations.
• Medical degree (MD).
• Experience as an oncologist.
• At least three years of relevant professional experience with robust expertise in oncology.
• Strong knowledge of GxP standards.
• In good standing with local, provincial, national regulatory and licensing authorities, as well as certifying bodies.
• Familiarity with GDPR/HIPAA, CFR/CTR/CTD, and applicable local regulatory requirements.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including a strong command of English.
• Presentable, outgoing, and client-oriented.

• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
