Associate Manager – Project Services, Laboratories

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Oversee clinical trial laboratory projects from initiation to completion.

• Ensure that protocol requirements are clearly understood and implemented.

• Lead activities related to study setup, including reviewing protocols and budgets, conducting startup meetings, and executing project and risk management plans.

• Monitor timelines, deliverables, metrics, and budgets, performing trend analysis, managing scope changes, and processing change orders.

• Act as the primary contact for sponsors.

• Facilitate client communications, meetings, issue resolution, and escalation processes.

• Promote timely, client-focused problem-solving and coordinate resources across various functions.

• Supervise the creation of protocol-specific laboratory instructional documents and the upkeep of laboratory specifications.

• Assist in the preparation of proposals and bid defenses.

• Create sponsor- or program-specific standards and procedures.

• Document lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across projects and programs.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences or a related field is preferred.

• At least 3 years of experience in a regulated laboratory setting.

• A minimum of 2 years of project management experience (e.g., study setup, method validation or transfer, client programs).

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and similar company systems in a project delivery context.

• Strong interpersonal and client management abilities.

• Experience with Laboratory Trial Management Systems (LTMS).

• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

• Strong written and verbal communication capabilities.

• Good command of English and terminology related to clinical research.

• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

• Capacity to develop and sustain effective working relationships with colleagues, managers, and clients.
