This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Assist in the management, execution, and commercialization of designated product lines.
• Keep product line information up to date, including product trackers, assortment files, roadmaps, launch calendars, and commercialization tools.
• Support product line evaluations, assortment analysis, SKU rationalization, and portfolio reporting.
• Monitor product performance, sales trends, margins, inventory levels, launch outcomes, and productivity metrics.
• Generate reports, summaries, and analyses for portfolio decisions and business reviews.
• Conduct research on consumers, customers, market trends, categories, and competitors.
• Track competitor products, pricing, claims, features, positioning, packaging, and channel activities.
• Aid in the development of product briefs, requirements, positioning inputs, claims, pricing parameters, and success criteria.
• Organize product samples, specifications, timelines, feedback, milestones, deliverables, and project documentation.
• Assist in product positioning, feature-benefit matrices, claims support, competitive analysis, product descriptions, digital content, and commercialization materials.
• Collaborate with Digital Commerce on product content, merchandising inputs, product page readiness, imagery needs, claims, and launch details.
• Review product content to ensure accuracy and alignment with approved positioning.
• Provide product details, consumer insights, positioning inputs, claims support, and storytelling information to Shared Services Marketing.
• Work cross-functionally with Finance, Commercial, Digital Commerce, Operations, Product Development, and Marketing.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Product Management, Merchandising, Product Development, or a related field, or a combination of education and experience equivalent.
• Typically, 1 to 3+ years of experience in product management, merchandising, marketing, category management, product development, sales support, retail, digital commerce, or a related field.
• A strong interest in consumer products, product development, consumer insights, brand strategy, commercialization, and portfolio management.
• Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and summarize product, market, competitive, and business data.
• Strong attention to detail and capability to maintain precise product data, trackers, timelines, and documentation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across different functions.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks, deadlines, details, and follow-ups in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and collaboration tools.
• Preferred: experience in sporting goods, fitness, wellness, outdoor, footwear/apparel/accessories, retail, or branded consumer products.
• Preferred: experience in supporting product launches, assortment planning, commercialization, product data, or marketing/sales materials.
• Preferred: exposure to digital commerce, product content, merchandising, or retail channel support.
• Preferred: familiarity with product lifecycle management systems, product information management systems, or project management tools.
• Ability to observe fine details up close.
• Capability to effectively communicate with co-workers, customers, and vendors.
• Proficient in writing, typing, and using telephone, copier, and computer systems.
• Must be able to remain stationary for 50–75% of the time.
• Ability to occasionally lift boxes weighing up to 25 lbs. with or without accommodations.
