This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Supervise the healthcare management team and develop high-performing groups.
• Collaborate with functional area managers to ensure uniformity in clinical and non-clinical member interventions.
• Achieve the financial, operational, and quality goals of the unit.
• Oversee the execution of healthcare management services within the designated functional area.
• Enforce clinical and non-clinical policies and procedures in line with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Act as a subject matter expert and mentor on practice standards, quality of interventions, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
• Apply and evaluate best-practice strategies and innovations across the care continuum.
• Communicate with essential business sectors.
• Develop, assist in the creation, and review training materials.
• Collaborate on and conduct inter- and intra-departmental training sessions.
• Safeguard member information privacy and adhere to company confidentiality policies.
• Oversee resources responsible for member identification, care-plan creation and execution, medical appropriateness, quality-of-care monitoring, evaluation, and documentation.
• Establish, initiate, monitor, and convey performance expectations.
• Ensure the team comprehends and utilizes information system functionalities.
• Potentially manage an individual caseload.
• Serve as the primary contact for members and the Care Management Team, including care-team meetings and addressing member cultural needs.
• Participate in the recruitment and hiring process for staff.
• Evaluate developmental needs and implement action plans to support high-performing teams.
• Encourage teamwork, cross-product integration, and a continuum-of-care mindset.
• Drive change initiatives as a proactive change agent.
• Foster a positive work culture by recognizing contributions, seeking input, and providing support.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures at the employee level.
• Must live in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Willingness and capability to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Over 3 years of experience in managed care.
• 3-5 years of experience in a physical or behavioral healthcare environment.
• Familiarity with regulations, standards, and policies related to medical management.
• Proficient in computer skills, including navigating various systems and typing.
• Highly organized and efficient with time management.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Capacity to mentor and assist staff in meeting business objectives.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or health or human services, such as Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Mental Health, Counseling, Behavioral Sciences, Sociology, Gerontology, or a related field.
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
• 1-3 years of management experience is preferred.
• Competence in computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and web-based applications is desired.
• Ability to assess and interpret data, pinpoint areas for improvement, and concentrate on interventions that enhance outcomes.
• Effective communication skills with Providers, Members, Staff, and other Leaders in both oral and written formats.
