This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Supervise the daily operations of residential, commercial, and pilot energy efficiency initiatives.
• Oversee program budgets, forecasts, key performance indicators (KPIs), and regulatory obligations.
• Lead interdisciplinary teams that include analysts, engineers, outreach specialists, and marketing staff.
• Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to meet program goals.
• Assist in business development activities, program launches, transitions, and ongoing improvements.
• Design and implement pilot initiatives to assess innovative technologies and delivery methods.
• Perform analyses on cost-effectiveness, energy savings, and market potential.
• Track trends in energy efficiency, flexible load management, and distributed energy resources.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, manufacturers, and community stakeholders.
• Lead teams responsible for project evaluations, incentive processing, and performance reporting.
• Create and sustain workflow documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process automation strategies.
• Present program performance metrics and insights to stakeholders.
• Work with IT and reporting teams to prioritize data requests and improve visualization tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Energy, Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related discipline; or equivalent professional experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in energy efficiency, utility program management, or consulting.
• At least 2 years of experience in managing cross-functional teams and client relationships.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced expertise in Excel.
• Familiarity with Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
• Experience with pilot programs, retail and midstream product strategies, or HVAC and lighting technologies.
• Knowledge of Technical Reference Manuals (TRMs), Measurement & Verification (M&V) protocols, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, CEM, BPI, RESNET, or Six Sigma are preferred.
• Proven experience working with underserved communities and engaging diverse stakeholders.
• Understanding of state regulatory processes, filings, and protocols regarding energy utilities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
