Associate Load Tap Changer, Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mississippi, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Execute mechanical and electrical tasks on Load Tap Changers (LTCs) and transformer equipment under the guidance of seasoned technicians.

• Assist in preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, upgrades, and field service operations.

• Aid in electrical testing and diagnostic processes to identify equipment problems and enhance reliability.

• Support the operation of oil processing and oil handling machinery.

• Interpret procedures, drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation accurately.

• Complete daily activity reports, service documentation, and customer reports with precision and punctuality.

• Employ digital tools and software to document field activities and assess equipment condition.

• Work collaboratively with field crews, management, engineering teams, and clients to implement projects.

• Ensure adherence to relevant external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must possess work authorization that allows them to be employed by Hitachi Energy in the United States.

• A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

• Preferred qualifications include technical school, trade school, military training, or coursework in electrical, mechanical, industrial, or related disciplines.

• Prior experience in construction, maintenance, manufacturing, utilities, or field service is advantageous but not essential.

• Basic computer proficiency and a willingness to learn company software are required.

• A valid Driver’s License is necessary.

• The ability to travel extensively across the United States is required.
