Associate II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Lead and coordinate the development, implementation, and monitoring of international humanitarian and recovery projects in collaboration with global partners.

• Assist in project planning, partner engagement, emergency response coordination, and reporting procedures.

• Enhance collaborative relationships with international partners, ecumenical organizations, ACT Alliance members, and PL&W colleagues.

• Represent PDA at regional and international events.

• Act as the primary liaison for accompaniment and coordination initiatives in Latin America and the Caribbean.

• Develop high-quality proposals and support disaster response and recovery efforts.

• Ensure project alignment with PDA’s mission, values, and strategic goals.

• Prepare and/or review activity reports and documentation, adjusting methodologies as necessary.

• Oversee program activities with general supervision.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.

• Master’s degree preferred.

• 4–7 years of progressively responsible related programmatic experience.

• Experience in faith-based humanitarian response.

• Familiarity with the context of one of the four global regions: Africa, Asia, Latin America/Caribbean, or the Middle East and Europe.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as other relevant software.

• Understanding of PC(USA) and its organizational structure is advantageous.

• Proficiency in one or more languages besides English is a plus.

• Capability to communicate via telephone, Zoom, and other digital technologies.

• Ability to read and comprehend written materials.

• Physical abilities include seeing, hearing, speaking, typing, writing, walking, standing, bending, and lifting.

• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
