Associate General Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare, review, negotiate, and oversee commercial agreements, which encompass SaaS agreements, MSAs, SOWs, order forms, NDAs, DPAs, vendor contracts, distribution agreements, partnership contracts, and other strategic commercial arrangements.

• Collaborate with business leaders, product teams, operations, and finance to facilitate enterprise transactions and strategic projects.

• Provide counsel on product development and launches, pinpointing legal risks and crafting practical, business-centric solutions.

• Acquire knowledge in telecommunications, consumer protection, privacy laws, FDA, DEA, veterinary practice regulations, pharmacy laws, ecommerce, marketplace governance, and associated compliance frameworks.

• Convert intricate legal and regulatory stipulations into actionable guidance for product, engineering, operations, and business teams.

• Assist in strategic growth efforts, which include launching new products, entering new markets, exploring new commercial models, and establishing new regulated workflows.

• Collaborate intimately with Vetcove’s legal team, business leadership, product, and operations teams on a diverse range of legal issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-8 years of legal experience, including tenure at a prestigious law firm.

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.

• Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar association.

• Robust experience in commercial contracting, especially related to SaaS, technology, enterprise clients, MSAs, SOWs, order forms, DPAs, vendor agreements, and other relevant commercial contracts.

• Outstanding drafting, negotiation, and issue identification abilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Strong work ethic and a keen interest in deeply understanding the business.

• Experience advising high-growth technology firms, SaaS providers, regulated industries, or enterprise software companies.

• Curiosity and enthusiasm for mastering new and evolving regulatory landscapes and translating them into practical advice.

• Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a strong inclination toward problem-solving.

• Must be legally permitted to work in the country for which applying.
