This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Design, engineer, and enhance distribution center sites to meet demand, throughput, storage, and service criteria.
• Conceptualize and implement warehouse automation projects in collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Act as a subject matter expert for distribution automation solutions in partnership with third-party providers.
• Drive innovative approaches on the warehouse floor.
• Establish standards for automation solutions that address storage, throughput, and layout governance.
• Conduct facility capacity modeling and flow simulations.
• Design slotting, pick-path, racking, and storage solutions in coordination with third-party warehouse operators and insourced sites.
• Assess emerging logistics technologies and automation alternatives, including AS/RS, AMRs, conveyors, and goods-to-person systems.
• Develop and execute technology and automation strategies for distribution locations.
• Collaborate with RTX systems and data teams to incorporate best practices into WMS and S4 designs during the transformation of the RTX Logistics operating system.
• Assist in network design by formulating distribution center expansion, relocation, and consolidation strategies.
• Partner with Strategic Sourcing, Operations, Real Estate, and various business operations teams.
• Create capital investment proposals and perform ROI analyses.
• Influence and drive change across various businesses, functions, and geographical areas.
• Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of logistics and sourcing professionals across multiple business units.
• Promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Serve as a liaison among logistics, supply chain, finance, and executive leadership.
• Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 10 years of experience, or absent a degree, 16 years of relevant experience.
• Over 10 years of experience in warehousing planning and operations, automation selection and implementation, logistics integration, or similar roles in the aerospace or manufacturing sector.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) or qualified to obtain necessary export authorizations.
• Experience managing teams across various functions and business units.
• Proven change management experience.
• Operational expertise in multi-site warehouse and distribution management.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Proficiency in facility layout, industrial engineering, and warehousing.
• Practical knowledge of WMS, MHE, and automation solutions.
• Background in Industrial Engineering and Scenario Planning within supply chain contexts.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities, including the development of business cases.
