Associate Director, Thought Leader Liaison

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +9 more states.

📋 Description

• Enhance and elevate interactions with prominent external US Oncology thought leaders at academic institutions and leading community practices for the Oncology Solid Tumor portfolio, especially NSCLC.

• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders from Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, Key Accounts Management, Market Access, and Oncology/Hematology leadership.

• Engage in strategic dialogues to gather insights and disseminate clinical information with designated thought leaders.

• Conduct meaningful business discussions regarding on-label product information, disease states, and corporate overviews.

• Organize thought leader engagements for senior executives at conferences and during routine business activities.

• Develop and sustain a list of key thought leaders within the designated region.

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with both established and emerging thought leaders.

• Assist in the development of the speaker bureau, including speaker identification, training logistics, and feedback on presentations.

• Communicate thought leader insights to Marketing and other functional departments to guide brand strategy and marketing initiatives.

• Translate national strategies into regional execution and coordinate efforts with various internal teams.

• Support the planning of regional and national advisory boards and coordinate participation of selected thought leaders.

• Ensure that interactions and activities adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and compliance guidelines.

• Travel 60–80% in the field.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is required.

• A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in a Thought Leader Liaison role, field sales, inline or regional brand marketing, or related medical/clinical experience.

• Experience in hematology/oncology markets is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with lung cancer disease state is preferred but not mandatory.

• Proficiency in marketing strategies within the pharmaceutical sector.

• Ideally, experience in product launches.

• A Master’s degree or other advanced education/certification is advantageous.
