Associate Director – Test Security Investigations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform investigations into fraud, potential testing misconduct, and score validity concerns for College Board assessments.

• Oversee cases identified through post-administration analyses, tips, reports, web monitoring, and social media surveillance.

• Gather pertinent evidence and conduct interviews with affected individuals as necessary.

• Work in conjunction with the investigative team and internal departments to collect evidence and apply uniform evidentiary standards.

• Improve investigative analyses and processes through thorough examination of available data and tools.

• Finalize investigations of testing misconduct across College Board digital assessments within specified timelines.

• Provide recommendations for case adjudication to managers based on evidence such as telemetry, data analytics, interviews, and social media findings.

• Examine hotline tips and internal referrals for actionable insights and subsequent steps.

• Collaborate with Information Security, Platform Threat Intelligence, Data Science, and Psychometrics teams.

• Conduct pre-exam data analytics to pinpoint higher-risk test takers and implement mitigation strategies.

• Carry out post-exam analyses within 30 days to identify risk patterns in international markets and higher-risk states.

• Address customers’ test security inquiries utilizing a structured communication framework.

• Discuss investigative outcomes with students, parents or legal guardians, and educators when appropriate.

• Travel and conduct test-day observations at test centers worldwide.

• Perform overt and covert surveillance on social media to identify, mitigate, and investigate exam-material postings.

• Review suspected content images flagged by the web patrol vendor and initiate investigations.

• Assist in the development and implementation of an enhanced content exposure strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in conducting comprehensive investigations into fraud and misconduct, preferably within educational or assessment contexts.

• Proficient in advanced search methods, social media platforms, and digital tools for data collection, analysis, and interpretation.

• Strong critical thinking abilities, including using data to guide decisions and actions.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience in facilitating meetings and presenting to groups of 15 or more, both remotely and in-person.

• Demonstrated ability to build relationships and inspire others to take action.

• Background in data analysis and evidence collection and examination.

• Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Salesforce or Power BI is preferred.

• Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

• Bachelor's degree is preferred.

• Willingness to travel domestically 5–7 times a year.

• Willingness to travel internationally 3–4 times a year.
